2009 Shot Show guns I'd like to see...

a new release of the no lock S&W 342PD, if not, a no lock 340PD.

I really wish S&W would offer the 442/642 with a pinned front sight.

I bet someone else comes out with a micro compact DAO .380. How about a reissue Colt Pony?

Ruger is rumored to have an SP101 in an aluminum frame.

I'd like to see a single stack 10mm from Glock similar to the G36. Glock could also pull off a quality pocket type 9mm similar to the PM9. Probably a narrow market on the 10mm but they'd sell a bunch of a pocket 9mms.

    Oh I forgot.

Lightweight commander in 9mm or 10mm from Smith.

    A 1063TSW. Wouldn't THAT be a long shot.

I wish for a XD in a single stack, ultra compact 9mm. It could be a 5 or 6 capacity magazine. Something just a reliable as the normal XD.

2nd wish---don't laugh, snubby in a 4 shot 327 snubby, alloy material, so it would be very thin, and light. Just a last resort BUG or pocket pal.

Probably a narrow market on the 10mm
    Maybe,maybe not.
4 out of the last 6 posts mention a 10mm.

S&W has in fact developed a new 5" 9MM 1911. It's been floating around internally since early spring and I had it in my hands to toy with on Thursday.
It's due to be released soon though it will be a Performance Center item. I don't know if it will be features at SHOT '09 though.

Beyond that S&W has in the M&P line up exactly what you desire and it's been around for 2 yrs.
The full size M&P has a commander length slide. Buy an M&P Compact and mix the upper with the Officer style compacts lower and you have the equivalent of the SA 'Lightweight Compact' (I used to have one from SA and loved it!). Or call S&W Customer Service and ask if they will custom build such a configuration for you in house.
The M&P has the same grip profile as a 1911 with similar controls. The only real difference is that the slide is Glock wide and of course the grip too.

As for 10MM I wouldn't hold my breath.

Yeah, hopefully it keeps gaining popularity. In a G36 type frame, you could probably even fit another round in the mag. Either way, I'm definitely getting a G29SF as soon as I can. The single stack sure would make it perfect for CC though.

    Ruger SR9c, and/or SR45.

I guess SR40 as well, though I'm not overly fond of .40S&W.

    LCP in 9mm?
