    Kimber SIS 4"

Well finally arrived and I am not disappointed. Looks better in person since all the magazines depict it with various colors. It is dark grey.

I lubed even though it was pretty well done out of the box. I fired 150 rds to start with.
50 CCI 230gr roundnose - No failures of any kind. Scary accurate.
50 Handloaded 230gr roundnose - A few failures to load and shot low
50 handloaded JHP 200gr - Only 1 malfunction and shot well. The 200gr is my favorite .45 load.

A much better start than my older 5" which I was considering a trip tp Yonkers to use as a suppository for Kimber. I fully expect after 500 rds to have no problems.

I like the smaller size safety. The gun balances well in my hand and is easy to shoot.

The downside is that all the talk about a slippery finish is true. I will be using this for CC occasionally so unlike a gun used in competitition this is not a big drawback. If I had purchased for USPSA or IDPA I would have an issue with it.

That was my only complaint... the finish is slicker than a snail trail.

The SIS Kimber is is best handgun i've got my hands on by far!! Feels great in your hand, feel great to shoot, its extremely accurate, and looks badass too. Does the pro feel good to carry?

I have a 5" and haven't had a problem with it. It's a great pistol and is quite nice for carry, what with the slick finish and carry bevel. I just find my Baer suits me better, so I'm selling the SIS.

The pro feels great. It is better balanced, IMO, than the 5". At least it feels better. It works in my Don Hume but patiently, sort of, waiting for my T&T Gunleather. I put off getting a 4" for years now I feel stupid.

I like mine, though not shot it yet. Too many toys, and not enough time.
Also, waiting on my TT Gunleather rigs to show..will be here before Christmas.
If it is like my other Kimbers, should be a nice gun. Luck.
I know, I know, you are smarter than me..just ask you..
