I want to choose 357 Sig for my carry gun, but can't decide which

I have a P2K, Glock 32, Sig 229, Sig 226 in 357 Sig. I can make a great case for all of them and shoot all well.
I may lean toward the P2K because I can chamge mags so quickly, but gad, what a decision.

Then again, I want to carry my 1911 and High Power sometimes. Sometimes I thihnk I prefer the days of owning one gun.

Ifn it were me, I'd go with the Sig229.

I had a Sig P239 in 357SIG and I really like the round. I liked the 239 as well, but just not quite enough. If a sale I have working right now goes through I am getting a FNP-357. I like the look and feel of the pistol and it is made by FNH. 357 Matte Silver Stainless

Whether it will become my EDC remains to be seen. Of your list I would have to lean toward the Sig 226.

Well, I wouldn't know about the cartridge other than what I hear or research, and I don't know much about the SIG pistols other than the P220 I have, but I would tend to stick with the engineer and inventor of the round and the initial platform....guess that would be SIG. Take that from Glock fan.

Not to mention that Sigs are like beautiful woman, and Glocks are like the ugliest wench you've ever known.

The softest shooting 357 sig I have shot is the Smith and Wesson M&P. In fact yesterday I shot 180 rounds of it through the MP for training, I was impressed.

My preference would still be a Glock.
And my disagreement with HotGuns is that with guns and women...there are no ugly ones...all are beautiful...some are just more beautiful than others.

Is the P2000 chambered for .357? If so, that would be my choice, esp. considering that's where your leaning. Besides it's lighter/slimmer than the Sigs.

BTW, How does the recoil on G32 compare to the others mentioned?

IF YOU CONSIDER THE GLOCK IN 40, YOU CAN SWAP OUT THE BARREL AND GO TO 357 to have both!

I'm not going to yell it, but if he get the 357 in the Glock or Sig 229 he can do that to get a .40. I've never heard of it done in the 226 or the H&K.

The M&P can do that as well but I hear there are accuracy issues.

I have the P226 in .40 with an extra .357 barrel. You just swap them out. I have over 10,000 rds through the 226 with no failures except two handloaded errors. If it was for everyday carry I would go for the slightly smaller 229. The 229 is also minimally thicker because it was designed from the ground up as a .40. The 226 was designed to be a 9mm. Both are fabulous guns that will give you a lifetime of fun and reliability.

I prefer my women made out of flesh and blood and my guns made of something other than re-cycled tupperware.
