Question Which of these should be my next EDC..??

I am leaning towards a PX4 sub compact but am a huge Sig fan. I live in Florida so it can't be to big because we don't have layers to hide it with here..I would like a gun that I can shoot all I want, and not worry if it gets a big banged up and such and will take a lickin and kinda see what all the gun can take. Its not so easy to just "go to a range and shoot all the guns" down here. I do not know a single range that rents guns within 100 miles!

I would like to keep it below $700. I will be trading in my full size PX4 and Sig Mosquito in for this. Prefer 9mm also to save on ammo and increase capacity.

Here are the ones I seem to have narrowed it down to..Any opinions or thoughts? Thanks!

    Beretta PX4 SC

    6.2" long
    4.8" high
    1.2" width
    3" barrel
    26oz
    13 rounds of 9mm

    Springfield XD 40 Subcompact

    6.26" long
    4.51" high
    1.2" wide
    3.1" barrel
    19oz

    HK P2000sk

    6.42" long
    4.61" high
    1.28" wide
    3.27" barrel
    22.4 oz
    10 round 9mm

    Sig Sauer P239

    6.6" long
    5.1" high
    1.2" wide
    3.6" barrel
    29 oz
    8 rounds 9mm

Here is how I view them in my head

Beretta PX4: Beautiful gun. Very reputable company that has been around what 500 years? Very accurate for a subcompact. Smallest overall size. Polymer help keeps it light. Holds largest amount of ammo. Brand new gun, no real accessories or proven track record. Still costly and around $650.

Springfield XD 40 SubCompact: Very reputable. Supposedly re-incarnated Glocks? Very blocky.

HK P2000: Another big name reputable company. Full metal gun. Feels so so in the hands. Quite a bit of reviews experience and parts for it. Pretty costly at around $700

Sig 239: My personal favorite gun company. Very familiar with my Sig 226. Decocker. Largest of all I listed. IMO every bit as reliable and able to be put through hell as the Glocks. Also quite costly at around $700. Holds least ammo.

HELD A GLOCK 26 AND WAS NOT HAPPY WITH IT.

Here's a bit of an homework assignment. Lets say its late Saturday night and you're cleaning your gun. A freak accident happens and your guide rod rolls into your heat register and you are unable to retrieve it. Look around on the net for each gun in question, and report back which gun you can find parts available for immediate shipment.

Although the Glock could be the answer, its not among his narrowed down choices.

Of those choices, two are good, one is obscure and one is junk. The only thing that sets the two good choices apart is product support. Thats all the clues I'm giving to avoid a flaming brand war.

I'd go with the Sig first, or the HK second.

The Beretta feels like a brick.

The XD is best left to the full sized guns.

I'm partial to Sigs, I've got 6 of em.

Have you tried the new Sig P250? Very ergonomic and very accurate for a DAO gun. I shot one today and it was great...and below 700$

Wait a minute...you asked this same question before and included the Glock-26.
    What happened?
Did you already decide on the G-26, and now you're looking for the 'second' pistol?

Thats weird you think that way about the PX4. Have you held a subcompact or only a full size? I feel the full size is quite comfy.

Isn't the Sig 250 over 7" long? Tryin to keep it as short as possible..

I held and played around with a Glock 26 earlier today and wasn't very impressed honestly.

I never got a pm from you btw!

Yep. Too me it was awkward feeling. I have big hands, wear 2X gloves.
It just didnt feel right to me.

The 25O may be 7"long. Its not much bigger than a 229. It felt good and seemed small enough to be able to carry quite well, plus it has a respectable capacity.

I went with the Springfield as I have a XD-9. 4 inch and never had a issue with it. Good Luck.

How many votes for the brick thus far?

    Oh....that would be NONE.
