I'll let you guys know what I hear in 7 hours involving this. One of our big distributors is having their "e-tradeshow" and it's a featured item along with some other things I won't disclose. :)

Davidsons has them "allocated" (means they'll sell em to the Dealers that support the Company most in sales) 13 shot, comes with holster, double mag carrier, mag loader, and hard case.. no price yet..

Service size only listed right now. I just fought through the world's most hosed internet connection to a major distributor having a 'trade show' involving them online.

Price should be about the same as the regular XDs but add about $20.

Make that about $30 more expensive.

I managed to get *one* from a distributor. It'll be in hand at the shop Friday or Monday depending on how swamped they are with orders.

I was just thinking, if they'd develop a sub compact it could maybe compete with the Glock G30. I love the 1911 but in a sub 4" barrel I'd be more likely to choose a different platform ... like the G30 (but don't tell Monkey Boy).

Thye might make a Sub Compact, but I would think it would be slightly larger than the 9/40 frame..

    carry guns

i would rather have a .45 acp subcompact on my california permit than my xd 40 tactical since i will have my subcompact xd 40 on there as well but i am also considering the kimber raptor carry model 1911 just for the bling bling factor. i will probably carry my sw model 442 .38 spcl +p most of the time.

Bud which place gave you that price? I usually go to Top Gun in Taylor, they said they were unsure of pricing right now. If SA were to change their bad parts policy I want one.

That's about cost shipped from one of the big distributors. I'm sure price will drop once they're more available.

I handled the one we ordered today. There's something that just doesn't feel as good to me as the regular 9/40 frame - like it's small in all the wrong places.
