If it hasn't even been fired I would go for it. Not sure if you have any experience with them but Glocks are as reliable as they come. The G26 has been my EDC for almost a decade now and no complaints whatsoever.

Yea $500 is a little high unless it is new or very close. I would think about it if the seller comes down to $400-450 or if it is like new and it will save you tax and transfer fee. If not I would go new. My .02

$500 seems a little high for any condition used Glock 26... I've seen some very, very lightly used Glock's for $450 with night sights.

I bought mine brand new for 525. Shop around, and you might be able to find a brand new one for around 500, maybe a little more.

Paid $410 for a G26 used but well cared for and no external signs of use earlier this year. Price sounds high for used to me. Does it still have the copper colored grease on the slide? That is usually a fairly good indicator of how "new" it is.

The price you quote here is more in line with what
I think should be paid for a good used Glock.
I can get a new one for $489.00

$500 seems to be about average for a new Glock. Guy at a local pawn shop has a G26 brand new for $525, and my regular go-to FFL can get me about any Glock for $459 +tax coming to a grand total of around $505 or so. Typically, the demand for the smaller pistols has gone up in recent months no matter what brand, and with $500 on the table, it might be well worth it for you to get instead of searching for one at a better deal, or hassling with paperwork or whatever red tape you have to do in your area. But there are better deals out there....just few and far between. Make sure several magazines convey with the pistol and get the original box and user manual and mag loader. The complete package for the price.
