Not sure I understand that statement. Any chance you could expand on that?

Congratulations on the new gun. I carry a Sig 239 SAS 40 every day and love it.

The ones I had problems with were Golden Sabre; HST; Hydroshock. Hope this helps

That's wild. My 239 SAS 40 (purchased February, 2008) has digested everything I've run through it without a hitch. WWB, Magtech, UMC, Golden Saber, Winchester Ranger, Federal HST & more. To date, it hasn't had one single failure.

    Hello Hoss,

Now that I have the gun home I can describe the trigger question better. As mentioned. the trigger on my current gun is a solid metal trigger which is smooth on BOTH sides...meaning back and front of trigger. The new P239 trigger looks like is hollow on the backside and has cut out areas where it was set in the mold or die-cast. Does this make sense?

This observation was what inspired me ask the question of how old the gun is. I would post a picture but there are no cosmetic changes to the one I own vs. th new ones on the Sig website. I did look at the Sig manual that came with the gun. On the back cover I looked up the copyright of the document which read 6/01/01. I am thinking the gun is about 4-5 years old. I won't know until I hear from Sig.

Looked at mine and I understand now what you're saying. Initially, I was thinking of like a skeletonized trigger and I knew the sides of mine were solid but I see the hollowed out sections at the back of mine that you are referring to in your description.

Have fun with the new gun.
