New S&W goodness
Yesterday I went and bought a S&W 642. I have a Taurus 85, but really wanted the S&W. Man oh man, the S&W fit and finish is miles ahead of the Taurus. It being cold outside and alll, I've been dropping the 642 into a coat pocket. I have slowly become a revolver guy. I really want a few more Smiths, but thats down the line. Pictures when I get the Christmas lights down!!!

Congrats!
I just bought a 442 last week and I am very happy with it. It's easy to shoot even easier to carry. With a Desantis Nemesis, I just drop it in my pocket and go. No holsters to strap on. You'll enjoy it.

Congratulations on the new Smith & Wesson! I've been buying and shooting them since the mid-70s and still have them. I've also recently purchased a couple of new ones and they are every bit as good as the old ones.

Make sure you cover that trigger guard for safety. It's also nice to keep the dust bunnies out.

Congrats. I love my 642 for its size and huge dependability...my only wheel gun but it just may turn me yet (gotta get over the lack of rounds and reloading first). Got her sitting in my pocket right now and thats why I bought her. ENJOY.
Oh, and contrary to what many say...it's a blast to shoot. IF you like a challenge

+1 on the 642. It is my alternative carry when I am going out locally to run a few errands. Carries great in a Mika pocket holster. I carry a speed loader in a nylon cell phone holder. Works great.
