    For .357 CC'ers

How many of you normally carry with .38 special in your .357?

Over time I'm finding several people I come across who have and CC the .357 but when asked - find out several have the .38 round in it.

    Just curious. Thanks in advance.

I load a lot more .38spl and I shoot a lot more .38spl., but never carry it.

Are you going to mind that pain when you need the gun? What about practicing with a "heavy" j-frame and carrying the Sc one?

Either way, thats why I carry Rugers. When I run out of ammo I can use them as clubs.

Whenever i unusually carry my 357 snubbie, it has 357 rounds in it. I figure that I need them I won't feel them

I carry a Ruger SP-101 loaded with magnum rounds and it handles full loads well. However, for convenience, I load two Bianchi Speed Strips with 38+p, because sometimes I need to carry my 38 snubbie Airweight; so, it's just easier to load the speed strips with 38 ammo for both.

I shoot .357 Magnum "duty loads" out of my Magnum Revolvers about 99% of the time, and I shoot a bit.

No sense having a Magnum Revolver if you're going to shoot Specials out of it. That's why the smallest and lightest .357 Magnum I own is a SP101.

I carry hydrashock 357s in my rossi 462 (they were free) when they are gone i will look for something else, maybe the remington soft nose.. I used to practice with remington 357 soft nose because the lady at walmart said the only price dif between them and 38 was 1-2 dollars. I have since found out she was full of sh** and practice with WWB .38 (100rnds-$30)

I load my GP100 and my 686 with 357 Magnum loads and carry one of them when I want Magnums. All of my other revolvers, including my Model 19 get 158 grain 38Spl +P Federal SWCHP at present.
