    Very true! It's not a great gun to shoot - it's snappy and bulky. That hinders concealment, if you were even thinking that. And its chamberings are really some of the least effective for defensive purposes.

    It was designed as a marketer's gun. It fits a nitch in the market with unexperienced shooters and defense newbies.

    I've had my daughters to the range many times and run 45LC and 410's from it, in sequence and alternation. You can really do much better in a revolver - for sure.

    But in fairness, for what it is designed and chambered to do - it functions fine. If it's your goal to get one, it will work well for you.

    If your goal is a versitile revolver for HD, or any other purpose, consider the SW 686 357 3". Far more versitility, far better defense performance, smoother action and performance, and varied chamberings in the same gun.

    Just MHO, and FYI about that Judge. Sorry to ramble on.
