    Finally got my carry gun.

I should have my carry permit here in a couple weeks. Finally decided on a gun after months of looking around.

    Glock 36 .45

I shot it today for the first time, awesome. I never thought i would get a glock until i found this one. Its a single stack mag so it feels great in my hand, not like all the other glocks i've looked at....

Congrats on your first carry pistol. I own a Glock 19 and it's one of my favorite carry guns. You'll find my of our fellow members have the same Glock as you, and they enjoy it very much.

wow - thing of beauty there, friend - I have a G30 and really like it - haven't held or shot a G36 yet but can kinda imagine - yours sure looks great - be sure and get some good training and plenty of range time - also get a good quality holster - don't blow good $ on a cheapy that will only gather dust - check around this site and you'll find plenty of good info - enjoy and keep safe

Congratulations on your Glock. Get yourself a good holster that covers the trigger. And lots of ammo so you can practise, practise, practise.

Lots of good advise here. And plenty of good, friendly, helpful people.

    Be safe and good shooting!

Welcome to the Glock club. No doubt you'll enjoy it at the range...and hopefully that's the only place you'll need to discharge it.

Congrats on a great gun! Since you decided to go with the single stack mag you may want to think about carrying extra magazines to compensate for reduced load capacity. I carry the Glock 30 and carry one spare magazine.

And to agree with everyone else, don't go cheap on your holster or mag carriers.

any suggestions on a decent holster for this gun? I like the design where it sits inside pants and straps around the belt. But regular holsters on the outside i wouldnt mind either....

+1 on the Mtac. Check out Comp-Tac, they make a few different designs. Crossbreed also makes great holsters.

I'll definitely second the M-TAC; the more I wear it the better I like it.
I used to carry OWB when convenient because I found it more comfortable, not any more.

Congrats on your new Glock !!! Now you have to put a few thousand rounds through it - not for gun reliability ... for your training.
    Have fun.

I hope I am not breaking a rule here by mentioning a Glock forum I used to hang out on: Glocktalk.com

Another vote for the MTAC Minotaur. Very comfortable and very fast delivery. If you want a fancy holster, you can always take your time, pick what you want and order it later but for immediate use and comfort, the Minotaur is hard to beat.

And congratulations on the new gun.
