Concealed Carry and the Threaded Barrel

Your talking longer barrel, more velocity, thread protector adds barrel weight and its cool looking with or without that licensed suppressor. Is it worth the trouble it could cause? And I'm not talking carrying around a suppressor with your CC. Just a tacticle weapon (pistola)

Cool looking? Yes. But no one's gonna see it. Trouble it'll cause? What trouble will it cause if no one sees it.

Might be some law somewhere in some jurisdiction against it, check local laws where you will carry. It adds barrel length, which will also make it more to carry/conceal. If you've got a spare non threaded barrel for the same weapon, that'd be my choice. If not, and it's the gun you want to carry, I don't see it as a huge down side (I would HIGHLY suggest you stick to your statement about not carrying the suppressor though.... ).
    Regards, T Bone.

    Funny story regarding a suppressor

A friend of mine, besides owning a news paper, also has a class three firearms license.

A few years ago, a drunk come across the road and run head on into his van. Read bad wreck.

He woke up a couple days later in ICU, and within about a week was released from the hospital. He went to find his van to retrieve his pistol that was stored under a seat. Upon getting to his now wrecked van the wrecker company directed him to the Sheriff’s department to get his stuff.

The main thing he was concerned about was a Berretta M9 with a full suppressor attached. He went up to the window and asked for his stuff. The clerk returned with a box full of stuff including some latex gloves and his 9 mm pistol. The clerk never asked him about the fully suppressed pistol but they wanted him to answer why he carried latex gloves.

He explained that in handling news print, the ink gets all over your fingers so he wears gloves.

They let him go and still never asked him about the pistol. He said it was a good thing because he never carry’s paper work with him regarding the class 3 license.

Good story, I thought they would cuff him on the spot. God forbid, it was just the latex gloves.

Very minimal, with +/- 1/2" more barrel.

thread protector adds barrel weight and its cool looking with or without that licensed suppressor.
    Weight is insignificant.

No trouble, unless you reside in a state such as CA or possibly NJ.

The only, minimal, advantage the extended barrel may have is making it more difficult to push the slide out of battery with a contact shot.
