More Christmas money well spent - Badger

I've always wanted a Ruger SP101, so the week after Christmas I thought I would do my little part to boost the economy and got one.

No, I didn't get that much Christmas money! But I did get enough to put toward some nice new grips.

Sorry no before pics, but I figured most of you know what the original SP101 grips look like.

They are Black/Silver Diamond Wood Boot Grips from Badger. I think the color is perfect for the stainless steel Ruger. I know the style is perfect for my hand.

Awsome looking grips. I had the 3" sp101. How does it handle with wood grips? Been thinking about it myself?

Sorry, I can't give you much of an answer about how it handles during live fire as the high for today's temperature was only 6 degrees, and there is no indoor range close to me.

I have been dry-firing it alot, and the grips feel good in my hand. For me, it is better that they are so rounded. I could really feel the squareness of the original SP101 grips.

Great looking grips. I need a nice set of wood grips on my J Frames.

Badger is going to the top of my list. Now a nice SP101 to mount them on wouldn't be bad either... hmmm...

Very nice, real nice grips. What kind of wood, do you know? I also like the color the dark stain looks good on the stainless.
