Saw some things on my "wish list" today...

During my errands today stopped in at my local gun shop to pick up some cleaning supplies. I just was walking along looking in the cases. I saw a case full of police trade in SIG pistols. They were mostly 229 and 226 models. There were also some p22/p6 and the polymer(2340 if I looked correctly) pistols. I am really looking at the P-229 or P-226 to cross off my list. The P-229s were $509 and the P-226s were $ 699. I saw very little wear on the slides. Didn't take them out of the case, but would do so for closer inspection if purchase became a possibility. My question is are these good prices for the aforementioned pistols? Thanks for the input folks.

Just curious since I live in the Bluegrass state also, but what gun shop were you looking at those Sigs?

Im gonna say no. Firearms, Guns, Rifles. Grain Valley, Missouri.
    226--$435
    229--$465
Dont know if they still have any, but would be worth a shot.

Sounds like they're trying to get full book value instead of PD surplus.

The quality of the pricing would depend on whether these are SIG CPO's or just LE trade-ins that have made their way to the civilian market, unchecked. Just my $.02 worth.

    Adios,
