very pleased with this carry gun

I bought a Sig Sauer P239 a few weeks ago and just replaced my Hogue grips with some Crimson Trace lasers.
They are fantastic. I think they have the potential to help a lot in a SD situation.
They are probably pretty intimidating to most people too who might wind up running away instead of assaulting you when you put that laser on their chest.
It should also be very instinctive, which is what it comes down to in those extreme stress situations.

I also ordered a .357 SIG conversion barrel for my .40 S&W P239 along with two .357 SIG magazines.
I just installed it and can't wait to test it out at the range today (hopefully today). I bought some Federal Premium HST 125 gr 357 SIG HP SD ammo to tide me over until my Winchester Ranger "T" Series comes in =)

    Anyway, here are my pictures:

Congrats! Once you study the stats on the .357, you'll leave the barrel in there. Check out the 147gr Gold Dots from Double Tap. Amazing stuff!

My bad........I initially thought this would be a Glock thread. (Just kidding of course).
That P239 is a beautiful looking pistol, and I like what you've done to it. I've never depended on a laser aiming device, but I could see it's benefits. Happy shooting with that sweet little P239!

I've never used a laser before so we will see how it turns out. I'm used to night sights.

If you haven't found it out already, your P239 .40 S&W mags will work just fine with the .357 Sig cartridge. Just not the other way round. Since Sig puts a crease where the shoulder of the .357 cartridge falls in the .357 mags, it won't accept .40's. But the .40 mags have no crease (straight-walled case) and since the .357 is just a necked-down .40, they'll work fine. Confused yet? .357 Sig is one of the finest defensive rounds out there. Walk softly and carry a SIG.

    Adios,

Congratulations on the great looking new pistol. My EDC is a 239 SAS with CT grips. Just remember that the laser compliments your iron sights, it doesn't replace them.
