    I Got It!

Kahr PM9... I've attached a few shots. One shows off the Tru Dot night sights. Will go to the range tomorrow and put 50-100 rounds through it. Can't wait! Don't take the CCW training for a few weeks so I'll have it well broken in before I can see how it carries.

Congrats on the PM9! I got one not to long ago (Finally added a PM9 to the defensive toolbox) and I find myself carrying it more and more.

Smile More Info On New PM9

I checked out the Tru Dot night sights last night in a darkened part of the house. This is my first gun with them... I like!

Went to the range today and blasted 100 flawless rounds of Blazer 115gr FMJ. Shoots very well. Recoil was what I expected. A little more than half through the 6 round mag and the rest through the 7 round mag (came home to the second 7 round mag I ordered from Kahr in the mail.) Groups well. Points well. Used silhouette targets and shot four mags one handed, just point and shoot and all were solid torso hits at seven yards.

Received my Galco Pocket Holster yesterday. On order... TT Gunleather Slim IWB, Smart Carry, Leather Fanny Pack. That should hold me for awhile.

Might finish the 200 round break in tomorrow, if not... soon. Will update.

All in all I am VERY pleased with this weapon!

    Hi Johnsonabq,

I have considered a Galco pocket holster for my recently purchased PM9.

If you don't mind my asking, would you kindly post a picture of your pistol in the Galco pocket holster?

    Thanks in advance...

    -Tim

    P.S. Here's mine in a DeSantis Nemesis:

    Galco POCKET PROTECTOR HOLSTER

Here's the pocket holster. It doesn't work as well as I had hoped in jeans, which I always wear. (Even my baggiest pair) Better in jacket pockets.

How do you like the Nemesis?

Thanks for posting the photo. I was actually considering the Galco horsehide model.

The Nemesis is OK. It is very comfortable, but I think I need to find a pocket holster that will provide a bit of cant for the weapon. The 90 degree angle of the grip in the pocket prints, but there is a substantial improvement when I tilt the weapon forward.

The only problem with the Nemesis it that due to its shape it tends to always settle into the pocket with the pistol perpendicular to the deck instead of at the preferred slightly butt-forward angle.

    Second Range Report

Well... went back to the range and put another 200 rounds of PMC 115gr FMJ for a total of 300 rounds through it now. At round 161 (total) I got a FTF. One tap with the heal of my hand and it chambered and fired. This was within the 200 round break in period and the other 139 fired without incident. She's all broken in now and it's time to find out what SD ammo I'm going to use. I'm leaning toward the Federal 124gr HST +P. I'll have to get a box and run a few mags through to make sure they feed. I feel the +P will help make up for such a short barrel.

I still think this is the perfect EDC weapon for me.

You will love the HST rounds, I carry them in my G23. Very good SD ammo.
