Question Different Kahr Idea....has anybody asked this question?

So there is Kahr K9, MK9, and PM-9, a K40, MK40 and a PM40, a P45, a PM45...but no MK45 or K45. Would there not be some buyers for at least the MK45. A small all steel .45 would not be nearly as bad on recoil and the old guard "wood and steel" crowd would love them. I would think it would be the ultimate big bore small frame belt gun. Just a hypothesis.

This is an old idea and exists today. Paraordance makes the LDA "double action" that fits your description, similar to Kahr models in that respect. And there are thousands of 1911single action clones as well. They're all single stack. What new could Kahr offer in that market? You mean the fact that it would be all steel? Apparently that's not a big selling point since small alloy and polymer .45's are very popular. Even Glock has one, the G36.

I would wonder what magazine capacity would be. Maybe 5+1. I see a snubby being better suited to the role of a MK45.

Well they already are selling plenty of PM45s so there is a market for a 5+1 .45 and there are plenty of people who think polymer is "of the devil." So I think they would sell if they ever came out with one. JMHO

Justin Moon has stated he has no interest in an all metal .45. The market is already flooded with them.

I really like my Kahr pistols. I started with a K9 and recently picked up a second K9. I would buy a K45 in a heartbeat if one existed. I am not a fan of the polymer framed guns.

Should Kahr ever make an MK45 I would buy one. I love my MK9 as well.

If there were a K45 I would buy it. The Bersa is nice but is wide and thick compared to any kahr. In fact, other than a 1911 there almost isn't anything as thin as a kahr and I love the fact that there are no safeties, no mag disconnect. Etc. and I doubt there's a better feeling grip than what is currently on a K9.

I personally think they're actually missing a nice chunk of salves by not having one. I'm also amazed that people can handle the recoil of a pm45
