First get a cheap nylon Uncle Mikes and see if you like lugging that cannon around all day!! I will strap on my 629 4" every now and then but am always Glad at the end of the day when I can take it off. Makes my Glock 23 feel like a feather. But you will love shooting that gun!!

Galco makes a nice belt holster for OC.
They, also, make a fannypac that will work. I use one for a 625, which is the same size and weight as some 629's.

This is the 3" Performance Center gun? If so they come with some really nice wood grips from the custom shop already. As for holsters, if you've got a favorite holster maker already, talk to them first and see what they can do. It's been a good many years since I bought any .44spl but back then I used Hornady loads. I'd recommend looking at Cor-bon now, either their defensive rounds or the DPX.

Oh yeah, I put one of these on layaway myself a couple months ago. Almost too nice to carry ... but I'll force myself.

Well, he's not accepting orders right now but I intend to get a holster for mine from Matt Del Fatti. If you want "special" Matt's the man to talk to.

For grips I'd contact Craig Spegel. He doesn't have a website, he prefers to speak with customers one on one so you get personal service. He made a couple pairs for my Nighthawk Custom and I couldn't be happier with them. Lightning Arms Sports carries some of his grips so you can see some of his work or buy through them for a slight fee.

I've dealt with both Craig Spegel and Craig and Audrey Chadwick (Lightning Arms), all of them are great folks to deal with - as are Matt and Gina Del Fatti.

    Here's a few links:

Try Cheaper Than Dirt if you're having trouble finding .44spl ammo. I'm not saying it'll be cheap but they do have a variety of it to choose from.
