    My SA GI 1911

Well after waiting since last Feb to get my permit (Gotta love good old NY ) here is the Springfield GI 1911 that I picked up the other day. I added a Wilson Combat tactical ambi to it since I am a southpaw. Had no trouble at all fitting the safety to it. The only other change that I was going to make was to swap out the ILS mainspring housing but when I picked it up the ILS housing was sitting in a baggie in the case I have a paddle holster on the way for it until I can figure out what to do for an IWB setup.

First pic is the serious shot and then I was having some fun !

Congrats on the 1911. The pic with the toy soldiers and the 1911 is great! Looks like it could be for a photo ad found in a professional gun magazine. Excellent work you did on it.

Congrats on the new Springer. Here are a couple of suggestions for top notch IWB holsters (also the lefty versions). Both from Milt Sparks, you'll want to order soon (the wait goes by quickly).
