    My first handgun.

Well I decided to finally make a post after lurking off and on for a little while. I've had my Concealed Carry Permit for almost a year now, and I finally was able to buy my first handgun last week. Since funds are somewhat limited I went with a Taurus PT 111 Millennium Pro. It fits my hand just great and I think its going to be a great first gun. Ran 50 rounds through the other day with no issues, well maybe my accuracy is an issue but that will improve with practice. If I did things right there might actually be a picture included in this this post. I had to get a tutorial from my wife to learn how to use her camera and light box.

Let me know what you think of the gun. Was going to purchase one myself but never did.

Haven't shot more than the one box of shells through it yet, but it worked flawlessly. I hit the target every shot, but I really need to work on my grouping.

    Congrats on the purchase!

May you never have to use it for anything other than training and fun.

    First, Welcome to DC.

I have a Taurus PT140 and very happy with it. It has been very reliable and a good shooter. Keep practicing, the more lead you throw downrange the more comfortable you will be.

Congrats. I almost ended up with that same weapon, but they were out of stock on almost everything. A friend of mine carries his daily and loves it, and I am sure you will to.

    Congrats,

I hope you like it as much as I like my PT-111

As much as I have studied other gun manufacturers, I have not done so about Taurus and don't know anything about their products. I haven't heard anything negative about them, other than the value pricing. Congratulations on your first weapon. It is really a good looking gun.

Congrats on the new gun. I haven't had any problems at all with my Taurus.
