First shooting with my new M&P

I bought an M&P 9c as my carry gun, only because the shop did not have the xdsc in stock or a 642, both of which I wanted. Anyways, I went to a friends today who has his own range and I must say the 100 or so rounds we put down range in the 20 degree temps went with no flaws. Not one single issue and the gun was more accurate than I was. With proper aim I was able to group 2-4 inches at 20 or so feet, and the friend (also my ccw class instructor) did even better. All in all, it felt nice and no regrets at this point in buying it. The only issue is I found I shot better with the mag that had the pinky extension than not, so I changed which mag I will have in it while carrying.

Just an FYI, I contacted S&W, and at no charge, they sent me three mag extensions for my spare magazines.

Nice weapon. I love mine. I also contacted S&W about the pinky extensions and had 3 sent to me within a week for free and no shipping.

The M&Pc is a very nice CC weapon. If you got big hands the extension is helpful. Without, it's a little easer to conceal. I think you'll find you won't regret picking one up.

I will contact smith and wesson, thanks for the tip. I hope to get more range time soon as well, that way I can get back to the level of shooting I was at years ago when I had my glock 19.

I got to shoot the M&P .40c this past Sunday, nice gun.
Was thinking of picking up the 9c myself.

Dad owns a M&P 9, I've fired it, very nice gun and if I had decided on a 9mm for daily carry I would probably get one myself.

not to highjack this thread, but this question is not worth one of it's own. I too contacted S&W about the pinky extensions, however I did it by email and have gotten no response or product. Did all you guys CALL their customer service?

I do not consider this a threadjack. I was going to contact by email as well, so I too am anxious to know the answer.

I emailed them and they emailed back within 2 days and I had my mag extensions in 4 days. Maybe they are backlogged with requests. I did mention in my email that "I understand you will ship these at no charge" No problems. FWIW.

I bought the M&P9c for my wife in August. Accurate, reliable and very controllable with recoil considering it's light weight.

She likes the pinky extension to shoot with but doesn't care for it when inserting it into the gun as it never feels solid to her. She likes the way the flat bases feel when inserting them into the gun as they sit more square in her hand and feels more "solid" when seating them. I have to agree with her on this...and essentially everything else as that's how she has me trained . The solution for her was to use the pinky extension as the primary mag with the flat based ones as spares in the event a reload is needed. Your views may differ but this works for her.
