    Small Guns for CCW

I was at my local shop today and the owner was telling me there is a bunch of new really small pistols coming out, like a mini desert eagle and a Kelvin or Kevin, etc.

I remember there was a really handy chart showing the small guns for CCW form .32acp on up, does anyone know if that chart has been updated to include these new releases? Does anyone have info on these new guns?

lastly, last time I checked, the Seecamp was still the smallest gun available for ccw in .32 & .380 - is there anything smaller??

    Kelvin?

    Kevin?

    Fred? Ethel? Lucy? Ricky?

    Try Kimber, Kel-Tech or Kahr.

For serious self-defense, forget about anything south of a .380.

There is a CZ pistol (not imported to U.S.) called the Kevin. Magnum Research is offering practically the same gun in .380. I looked at one in early January and with the dealer's permission I dry fired it. If I decide to ever shoot one though, I would bring a lantern and a lunch because it takes quite a while to pull a 300,000 pound trigger. Neat looking gun but not conducive to accurate shooting with that trigger. john

This is the year of the .380. Walther, Kahr, and Sig are also bringing out new pistols. None nearly as small or well made as the Seecamp. The Kahr P380 comes close.

That'll be really good if I'm ever attacked by a mouse. But I think this was the right answer:

Or perhaps a MK9 or PM9 if the K9's half-inch increase in length is too much.

Don't forget some of the oldies either. I have 2 of the NAA Guardians and they both have been 100%

Try Kel-tec P3xx or PF9, Bersa 380, Kahr PM and many more.

Carry in a pocket holster works great.

You are dreaming if you think the answer to the question "... the Seecamp was still the smallest gun available for ccw in .32 & .380 - is there anything smaller?" is a Kahr K9.

The K9 may be a pocket gun if you wear clown pants. The rest of us are stuck with using small, light guns.

I really like my Ruger LCP as a pocket piece. I hope the increased popularity of the .380 will help lower the price of ammo. It's as expensive as .45 ACP.

One of my employees bought the Magnum Research 380 over the weekend at a show for $559.00 plus tax....
He brought it in on Monday. I compared it to my Rohrbaugh, the M.R. 380 seems blocky and just a little bit smaller,
I like my R9Stealth pup much better.

This R9 Stealth, has not had one misfire, ftf or any other abreviation in a year and Half of practice and carry.

    Kevin is here!

The mini Desert Eagle is here. Held one at a gun shop. Did not like it. Seems chunky and heavy and expensive. It is a ZVI Kevin in Europe.
