Springfield Armory Loaded Model
I'm in the market for my first 1911 and I think I've settled on the Springfield Armory Loaded Model. My problem is that I can't find one. Does anyone have any idea where I can find one. My budget is $1000.
Thanks in advance for all your replies and advice.

There are always some listed on Gunbroker.com. There are a few on there with a Buy Now that are within your budget amount.

By the way, that's a very good choice... I sure love mine!

Good choice, a lot of "bang" for the buck. I have two, a full sized Parkerized and a Lightweight Micro Compact in O.D. Green (neither for sale). Both have been pretty good. Your budget seems high, but I've had mine for a few years now, still I paid just over $700 new for each if memory serves. Might've gone way up when the Dollar tanked I guess? I've heard they were getting scarce, but they're still around. Keep searching (as mentioned above, Gun Broker is always a great source).

Just a quick search and I found this site (I have no affiliation or experience with this company, just found them from a quick web search). They list the PX9109L (like my full size) on sale for $799.95

The plain loaded full sized should be between $700 and $775. I'd go to your favorite gun shop and ask them to start hunting. Then sit back and wait a while. I'm picking out my next purchase and I'm considering a Springfield EMP. My gun guy has sold 50 or so but they sell the day he puts them in the case. If I want one, I'll give him the money (just shy of $1,200) and wait 2-4 months.
It's just liike that unless you get somethings that they make a lot of but aren't going fast right now and I think Everything is going fast right not.
The only think I'm starting to see on shelves are AR15's. I'm getting the impression most who wanted to get one because of Obama have done so.
Anyway, I think you've picked what has to be one of the best all round values in a full size 1911!
Be patient, you'll get it!

The problem with Springfield, and I love their customer service, is that they are so busy with the XDs and EMPs that 1911s are not getting produced much.
Not that long ago I wanted a new 9mm 1911 and was told that they were out of stock with no planned production run in the near future. I bought one on Gunbroker. The same thing happened when I wanted Champion Operator and I wound up with a Kimber SIS Pro.
Just keep checking the sites like Gunbroker and Buds you will get one.

Thanks
Thanks to you all for your replies, but a special thanks to JimmyC4 who found the exact package that I was searching for. Lucky for me I got the last
Springfield SRVC TGT TNS 45BSS Package they had for $982.32 because I didn't get the cash discount, as I paid with my debit card. You can see the gun at the following link and I will post pics and a range report ASAP:

<== JEALOUS
I am giving serious thought to buying a Springfield Armory 1911 within the next couple of weeks. Only problem is my budget may be a little less than yours. I may have to "settle" for a more basic model than the Loaded. Not that I would be complaining.
