I have joined the Glock family, but planned on the XD45...I love my wife!

    Hey everyone,

Today I became an owner of a Glock 30! My wife was going to purchase one for me this weekend, but got intimidated by the entire process. So she spilled the beans to me last night and took me to Academy Sports today to buy the XD 45 I've been pining over for months.

While there I asked to look at the Glock 30, and I compared it hand in hand with the XD45. I have to admit the Glock was so much more comfortable in my hands than the XD. It just felt right.

So...I am now a proud owner of a Glock 30! I'll post pics tomorrow! Oh, and thanks to my beautiful wife!!! She is a blessing to me all times in all ways!!

    Welcome to the "Dark Side".
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

    Congrats on the new gun

I had a G30 for a while. Never could get used to the wide grip.
The new G30 SF would probably work for me.

My G30 was reliable and very accurate.

Congratulations, schweet gun. I love my G29, and have a G36 on the radar screen for a purchase later this summer.

Congrats on the 30, even though my experience was exactly the opposite.

For many years I was quick to tell people I was anti-Glock. i used all of the platitudes, 'A man carries a real gun', etc. At LFI I saw how the Glocks performed. I still carry my HK P2K, but have since gotten 2 Glocks. A G32C and a G19 fourth Gen on the way.

    Congrats ! I have 6 Glocks now, having recently added a G17 and a G36.
The G 36 is my newest EDC.
