New Carry Gun
I just finished up ordering my new Springfield tactical combat black stainless steel loaded 1911 PX9154L from my local gun shop.
Owner said it should be here tuesday or wednesday of next week. I was thinking about the light weight champion but decided to go in a different direction. I've always been happy with the other full size 1911's I've had so I figured why change now. Of course this means new holsters for the new pistol. Now that I've ordered it I can't wait for it to get here. Is it Tuesday yet!!

Now the wait!! The days that pass as if they are weeks!!
Something about the wait for ''that new gun'' - a mix of eager anticipation, impatience - all a bit like being a kid again before Xmas LOL!
We shall be mandating a pic or two, naturally!!!

I thought the wait to order it was bad, since I got off the the phone I can't wait for it to get here. Chris you hit the nail on the head, it is like being a kid again at Xmas. I'll make sure to get some pics up when I pick it up and get it home and try to make sure there's drool left on it.
Next weekend at the gun show in Allentown I'll have to see if I can pick some extra mags for it. I will have to make contact with some of our resident holster makers and see about getting some new leather.
Chris I understand you have a K&D Eagle Defender, how do you like this holster?

Not to disappoint anyone Bruce

Kid yes - this rig is all but perfect for my requirements and I daresay good for many folks too. For me it holds tight in - and I slide it fwd or back over one belt loop so as to be anything between 3 and 3.30. I can't imagine finding another more ideal (for me) to be honest.
It has now been in daily use about a year.

Actually Rick I have a new one the same - it is also a thicker belt than it might appear tho and 1 1/4" - but those pics were taken in a hurry as the sun was about to go down one fall evening. I am aware often that my t-shirt is part untucked and also I can see for myself from pics there is some belt ''droop'' - oh and add on those pics - not my best jeans either!
Thing is - it is zero problem - the rig holds tight, and I do not want to cinch the belt the extra notch or so that would take up that slack. Down to comfort. Once the slack allows that small drop - all is good and it is this way every day - secure and comfortable. May not look that way but it's true.

Well it's Wednesday morning and no call as of yet. I'm hoping to get the call today, but I may give them a call this morning for an update. If it comes in today I will make sure to get pics and post them. This wait is really starting to drive me nuts.
