Talking New EDCs for Girlfriend and I - Pic Added

    Friday:
I was on the way home from work this last Friday, and my route just happened to take me past my favorite gun store. I decided to drop in and see if they had, by chance, received any more PT 24/7 Pros. My buddy had bought their last one the week before.
Ah, ha! There, in the .40 case, was a PT 24/7 Pro DS duotone. The gentleman asked if he could help, and I just said, "Please box up that 24/7 for me." He said, "We have only had that thing in the display for two hours! Didn't even have time to make up a tag for it."
Sooo... twenty minutes later I went home with an addition to my happy family. This will supplement/backup my PT1911.

    Saturday:
My girlfriend (for now... I am popping the question during Valentines Day dinner) still needed a new carry gun. I wanted to get her something to replace her Hi-Point C9. We went to another favorite gun store where she began getting the feel of various makes/models. After about her 10th gun, she said, "This is it!" I looked to see what she had in her hand: An HK P2000 V3 in 9mm! She said it was the only one that really fit her hands.
Sooo... twenty minutes later we left with it in hand.
I took them for a break-in session Saturday evening, and must say I am extremely satisfied with both guns.
Pictures will follow with a more in-depth range report. Spent so much time shooting and cleaning, that the camera work has to wait for later this week.

    >>Here's the promised pic! Range report still to come.

My brother is a Border Patrol agent and carries a P2000 V2 in a .40 he loves it so she should be very happy with her V3. Enjoy the new guns!

Sounds like she got the better end of the deal, and she's also getting a diamond. Oh well at least she lets you shoot her gun once in a while!

I cheated on my 1911's and bought a P2000 v3 in .40/.357sig. It was a very nice gun and really enjoyed it.

I kept it for about three months then sold it to my brother-in-law. I've been thinking about grabbing a 24/7 too someday in 9mm. It shoots well and is nice and thin.. Congratulations!

Congratulations on this weekend too! I'm a wedding photographer and meet so many of my clients very shortly after they get engaged so I always get to hear how they did it and how excited they were. It's really great and I love to see that excitement!

Enjoy your dinner and cherish every moment! You'll never forget it, so do it right!
