Is it an IMI/IWI made weapon, or is Magnum Research branding someone else's?

If it is IMI/IWI, you can be sure it is quality and will be reliable. I am inclined to agree that the price tag is a lot on the high side for what you get. I'd buy a Baby Eagle compact 9mm for the same price first.

Magnum Research licensed the design and build it right here in the US of A so my guess is that it's very high quality materials and workmanship. I do agree that it's too highly priced to sell well. It needs to be at or under $400 to really contend with what's out there in pocket pistols.

I am shooting it tomorrow, so I will have a report then. She did not ask my opinion, she went out and bought what felt good in her hand. The good news is .....my wife and both daughters are going to get their CHL. Family that shoot together ,lol, stay together.

they make good guns,,but i don't know about this one. the price is the first draw back to me. i can get a p3at for a lot lower price and use the rest of the money for ammo.

i've had my micro for awhile now, and its pretty much perfect for what i want - all day, everyday carry in a wallet holster. i wasn't happy about the price of $490, but considering the alternatives, it's not out of line. superior in design, workmanship, material & finish, it's not intended to compete with the $300 pistols. same as 'ZVI Kevin', tried & true since being introduced for the Czech police & military in 2007, this one's made to be shot. i've done some reading on the Czech forums, and there may be some small part failure between 5000/10000 rounds. failed part replacement is a diy affair - trigger return spring if i remember correctly. even though the price hurt a little, i couldn't be happier.

i didn't care much for shooting it at first, but i really like it now. comfortable & accurate. reminds me of the way i learned to appreciate scotch - one shot at a time :)

I too am interested in the Micro DE. I kinda passed it off a few months ago, due to the price. But...the QUALITY!!!! The last week or so I have been on a new quest to find the perfect boot gun (for me) to replace my tupperware .380.

I'm tired of playing around with bargain basement products and want nothing but firearms that will pass successfully through at least a couple of family generations. It may take me until September, but I think the MDE will be in the stable.

I hope you guys that have them will do a lot more range reports. I need more details...and encouragement...temptation...whatever

NAA Guardians, Seecamp and the new Sig should also be on your list then!!

Personally, I am not a fan of NAA Guardian, the Seecamp is a bit too expensive and the wait too long (and rather ammo sensitive from my last 4-5 years worth of research), and the Sig (and I am a Sig fan) is much larger than the MDE (as well as being SA)

    I'll take the Kahr

When these guns are $300 IMO they are worth buying, but the Kahr for the same price is only slightly larger and uses a better, more available, and cheaper round.
I tend to agree with this.

If I could have gotten even a used Kahr PM9 for $300 I would have gotten it over the LCP.

As it is, I'm happy with the LCP for what it is and why I got it.
