I was doing a lot of reading on this one today, actually. It seems rather intriguing and I am awaiting a few more reviews. It seems to be a seemingly identical competitor to the new P238. Let us know your(and your daughters) thoughts.

.380 is a good round, its right on the limit for SD. There have been huge leaps in .380 devolpment recently. A decage ago I would not have recommened anything in .380 except a full metal jacket round because of a lack power. However today new rounds such as buffalo bore or DPX make this round effective as a self defense round.

Just so we know, what weapon did your daugther pick up?

I look forward to my new LCP and the Hornday FTX round in .380.

My 9mm FTX testing was very positive.

However, as a CZ nut. The Magnum Research copy of the Czech made KEVIN pistol is very interesting.

    Micro Eagle .380 $600

    Kahr CW 9mm $600

    I'll take the Kahr

When these guns are $300 IMO they are worth buying, but the Kahr for the same price is only slightly larger and uses a better, more available, and cheaper round.

My BUG is a Ruger LCP loaded with 7 rounds of hot CorBon .380

    Great gun for $319.

There are some good loads for the 380 right now. The Cor Bon DPX or the Hornady Critical defense are both good SD rounds. Both work well in my Bersa 380.

I've shot a whole lot of the Critical Defense through my PPK/S and it literally chews the X-ring out of the target at 7 yards. It's good stuff and very mild recoil and very little muzzle flash.

I have the LCP in .380, great little gun. Once I got my M&P 9c, my wife claimed the LCP! I'll be carrying it in the summers though, so easy to make it disappear.

The Micro Eagle 380 is a very reliable little gun.
It's more expensive than most 380s on the
market. Makes a great 24/7 carry gun.
Recoil isnt bad at all and sights are good being as
    small as the gun is.
I like how it looks. Like a cross between a seecamp
    and a HK P7

I fondled one yesterday at a gun show. It has a one finger grip, is really compact. With the magazine you get 1 1/2 fingers. It exuded quality... reminded me of my Seecamp in many ways. I Don't remember the exact price, but it was over $600.

I checked one out at a gun shop, it was very small, but at $540 not for me. I like my NAA Guardians much better. The 380acp market is growing rapidly right now. Maybe the competition will drive down prices?
