Great gun the PM9 is. It's my EDC. I just ordered a K5 myself today only I went with a hybrid kydex/ultrasuede. It was a little more pricey but I like the advantages of the kydex and the ultrasuede won't add much to the thickness according to the CS person I talked to (out of the other hybrid options). Also, it will help prevent any cracking of the kydex down the road and help keep the holster in my pocket when I draw.

I have one and it is surely a shooter; it is close to 1K without any problems so far.

I am busy saving all of my pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters for one. Busted the piggy bank last year buying guns and ammo. I think this one is the cream of the crop when it comes to pocket pistols!
    God bless our troops!

    Wasabi,
I considered the Kydex, but it looked like the thumb bush would rest against my leg and drive me nuts! Let me know what you think about it when it comes in.

Will do. I actually scored another (lightly used) K5 after I posted that yesterday for $25 shipped on another forum so I'll be able to compare plain kydex and the ultrasuede hybrid. For that price I couldn't pass it up.

    Kyle007,
Check out the Follow up Kahr PM9 #1 about some pics and range report. In side the paper plate and fun to shot at the range. Excellent choice

Any of you PM9 owners find the slide release to be on the stiff side?

I own around 12 CCW handguns that I carry at different tmes depending on conditions and curcumstances, including S&W's (642), Ruger's (LCP, Police Service Six), Colts (Detective Special), Kahr's (PM9 and CW40, CZ's (RAMI and CZ82), Makarov and others. The Kakr PM9 is certainly one of if not my favorite semi-auto for CCW. Great little auto. Its not as small but I like it far more than the LCP, its small but its a real gun. Kahr's in general are outstanding guns.

When I leave the home port:
S&W 642 Airweight, Ruger SP 101, Colt Detective Spec., CZ RAMI, Kahr PM9, Kahr CW40, S&W Model 10-7, Glock 30, 19, and 26, Browning Hi Power, CZ82, Colt Commander, Dan Wesson PM7, Ruger LCP

A bit stiff when new, yes, but gets better with the more rounds you run through it. And when the mag is empty after last shot it's tight, but if you drop the mag then hit slide release it's a lot easier to release.

    Oh am I jealous...

I've really wanted a PM9 but it's not in the cards for this years purchases. Nice pics and I think you've got a real winner there!

I think the slide release is stiff, but I think it will get easier the more you shoot it.
