    And another new one

Well, we took the wife's Beretta Tomcat 3032 to our local Gun store (Ace Hardware) to be sent off to Beretta to get fixed. Ever since I got my SA XD45 Compact, we have been discussing home defense and carry (she already had her CWP). We were planning on getting her another handgun in the future. Well, we had been reading up on the SAXD40 Subcompact, and when we stopped in one of our other local gun stores they had the SA XD9 Subcompact and she really liked the feel of it. We talked about it on the way to Ace hardware about which caliber to get her when we were ready.

Well, we got to Ace Hardware and got all the paperwork out of the way to ship off the Beretta. I looked in the gun case and there set an XD40 Sub! The only problem was, there was a fella there purchasing it!!! We asked if they had another she could look at. They did. She held it a while, cleared it a couple of times, looked and me and said "You know, I don't have anything to carry, till my Beretta gets back and who knows when that will be."

We came home with the SA XD40 Subcompact! She had already put 50 rounds through it and is/has been carrying it since we left the store!

THanks all! She is loving it. Wearing in a IWB right now at 2 o'clock. Trying to find the best spot for her. Still working on getting us some better holsters...

Congrats on the new carry gun for the wife.

Sounds like a gun she likes and wants to carry. So a win-win for everyone.
