My first Glock. It's a 26 [photos]
After years and years of carrying 45acp 1911's and most recently [and very briefly], a Kahr PM45, I jumped on board last week and bought a used Glock 26 that belonged to a friend. He owns a plethora of Glock armory and really takes good care of all his weapons so I knew I was getting a pampered weapon .
We took it to the range a few days ago to check for function and fired about 70 rounds through the pipe with no FTF/FTE issues, and it was dead on at 20ft. I've been carying it since.
Currently, I have no holster for it but the piece came with a 10 round magazine, an attached clipdraw and a Pearce grip extension. To me the G26 feels much more blocky [but much lighter]than my Colt Commander, but surprisingly conceales just as good, if not better, with the clipdraw than the [leather] holstered 1911.
So far, Appendix (crossdraw) carry is quickly becoming my favorite way of carrying. I like the idea of having instant access while seated and driving while seat belted. I'm still not too confident carrying at 3:30/4:00 with just the clipdraw so I'll most likely be looking for a good OWB or IWB leather holster in the near future.
Range report will follow soon. Here's a few photos...
