    Shooting USA?

It was on one of the Wed night shows - maybe Shooting USA - maybe another - BUT - I remember the main host showing what looked like a rifle stock which you could open and it held a semiauto pistol which you could use either as a pistol OR attach the stock for a makeshift carbine.

Am I remembering this right? Anyone know what I'm talking about?

If you do - and can find a link to this baby - please post it on a reply.

    Thanks in advance....

Wednesday shooting shows still on the DVR unwatched. I'll look out for it and report back if I find anything.

There was a WW II era Broomhandle Mauser or German Luger that was stored in a hollow wooden stock. When you took the pistol out you could connect the stock to the back of the grip and this allowed you to fire it from the shoulder.

Perhaps a Marbels "Gamegetter"? A deceased friend of mine had one in his collection. After his death she sold all his guns at a fraction of their value. Grrrrrrrr !

It was the host of shooting usa - It was a kit of some kind - the stock was a holding case for the pistol. Might not have been a pistol - possible it could have been a small rifle. Came in Silver or Black (the stock). I thought it was a pistol but I have to admit it may have been a short rifle kit.

Well, now I'm not sure. If anyone can post links showing your suggestions I'd probably know / recognize it.

Sorry to take so long on this one. Thanks for all the responses...

Yeah, THAT'S IT! Thanks, I couldn't remember anything except that it came as a kit and was contained in the stock. I appreciate your help on this.

Could have been a Browning Hi Power, the design was sold to many manufactures. I have one a Browning High Power MK I that was made for the Canadian forces, the grip has a slot for a wooden stock that doubles as a holster. You can see the wood stock on ebay, search on "Browning Hi Power Stock," you might check it out to see if that is what you saw.

They shoot 22lr so they are cheap to shoot. They would be good for basic sight alignment trigger, sight picture, squeeze practice, aside from that or hunting some small game I am not sure what I would use one for. I would think that a ruger 10/22 would serve either of those purposes as well if not better.

    Cheers

The appeal to me is it's collapsed packaging and form factor. Are there others that have this feature?
