It was a snubby I needed afterall
A S&W 638. Ugliest gun S&W makes and I'm loving it .... duh, a snubby is a good investment. Fairly new to carry and trying to figure out what & how, etc, I made a mistake or two. Finally I took my wife's 642 out with a box of 50 and realized that I'd been living with a great little gun in the house for a couple of years and just didn't realize it. I bought the 638 on the way home that day. A 2" barrel at 12-15 yards does surprisingly well. DA, no glasses, still cutting paper with surprising consistancy and grouping.
Somebody wrote in this forum just last week, if you don't own a snubby, it just ain't right. I have to agree. It doesn't pack the same punch as my 4x guns....but I wouldn't want to be on the business end of a 38+P. This will allow time to decide what's next and it's an easy break-in for CC.
