Does anyone know if you can swap a .40 barrel for a 9mm barrel in the S&W M&P like you can do with the glocks?
You can't SWAP barrels in an M&P just like you can't swap barrels in the Glocks. You CAN however purchase a "conversion barrel" for a M&P 40 that will allow you to shoot 9mm. You can't just take the barrel out of a 9mm M&P and put it in .40 M&P and expect it to shoot.
I thought that the 40 and 357 sig were interchangeable,the 40 and 9mm are different case diameters and I'm thinking there would be breech face and extraction problemsQuote:

Agreed. 40S&W and 357Sig are interchangeable, however the 9mm is not. You do in fact need a conversion barrel for 40S&W/357Sig to 9mm, like Storm Lake's.Quote:

You just have to use a Storm Lake conversion barrel. The rest of the pistol stays the same. You will need 9mm mags for the best reliability. The ejector and extractor will work without change.
