    Dan Wesson 1911's???

Are they any good? How do they compare to the Kimber? I was scary close to buying one at a pawn shop today but didn't know much about it and am scared of my wife It was a .45 looked to be a full size but like I said don't know much about it. I know kind of a newbie question but I'm just a humble guy new to the handgun world so take it easy on me please

jump on it!! That seems like a very good price. Check gun brokers for a price check.

DW for $500., Go for it! Being it's a pawn shop you can probably talk them down some more. If they are selling it for $500. they probably don't have much more than $200. in it.

    +1

general rule of thumb for pawn shops is to buy items for 25% of what it's worth and then turn around and sell it for 50% So there should be some room to move on the price
Give me my guns and my right to keep and bear arms, and they can keep their change.

IMO they are the best factory 1911 out there right now.

I love how these guns look. I also like how they incorporate some Ed Brown parts/features.

Any word on reliability? I have heard they are tuned EXTREMELY tight from the factory and require quite a break-in, but how about beyond that? What about the factory mags? I'm considering one of these over a Kimber based on some unflattering things I've heard about Kimber lately.

    One of my favorites

Here's mine (middle one). Shown with Larry Davidson Horned Lizard grips. It's in the shop now getting fiber optics. Sweet trigger!

You guys are really making me wish I had the cash. I probably ought to wait until I get another job though. If anyone in Northern Utah wants to take up that deal I can tell you where it is.
