Wow, you scored ! A little wear here and there but with the money you saved, you can re-blue, replace rusty screws etc. AND still have a nice firearm for cheaper than a new one. My friend just spent 800 on his used one with no wear marks etc.

    Ooooooh purrrrrrrrty!
    An oldie but a goodie!
I like the plum colored hammer. My P220's hammer is that color.
What is the date code on yours? If you are not familiar with them it is a two letter code usually found under the proof mark on the bottom of the slide by the muzzle.

That is a great project gun, send it to Robar, get it np3 coated, install some night sights and you'll have a polished diamond from the ruff.

I could not see all of the markings in your pictures, but JJ is 1988 which I believe means yours is a "West German" Sig!

Just FYI, unless it has been modified that means you will have older design, long hammer strut, not the one with the plastic base. If you replace the grips or order a parts kit you will need to verify that.

Looks like you got yourself a fine pistol there!

Even amongst Sigophiles there is some internal snobbery. A great many consider the West German Sigs a cut above the rest.

I'm really looking forward to running a few rounds through it tommorow.

Next weekend I should be able to really give'er a go.

Great pistol, I traded mine in on a Wilson. Even with the new Wilson CQB, I still miss my old P226.

Well considering that country has produced some of the greatest mechanical and engineering mnds in history...I'd say that is a fair assessment.

And my P228 is W. German. HAHA BUT I am a Glockhead as we are referred to, LOL

Looks like a really nice gun, just a little "spit shine" should have her glowing.
