I think I found my Kimber - Need an opinion ...

Well I think I found the Kimber I want to have as a loose clothing carry.

It's the "Kimber Tactical PRO II" 4' barrel standard 1911 grip size and it comes with Mepro night sights and 3 magazines.

It is a consignment sale from a Deputy Sherriff in my local area who has put only 4 rounds through it. It is darn near flawless. He apparently has a massive collection and would like to downsize??? maybe???

Less than a 1000 but I wont mention the price out of respect for the dealer. That is their job. I think MSRP from Kimberamerica.com is 1250$

Deal or no Deal? Good or no Good? GO or No GO?

    Thanks

You guys and gals rock at DC.com!

MY buddy in OR, has Kimber Eclipse that I shoot when he visits.

The gun has been flawless, but too bad it isn't in 10mm:)

I love my Kimber's, so I'd have to concur with the "go for it" crowd. In fact, I've got my eye on another one.

Just do this one thing to save yourself some trouble:

If you get it and have issues, get on Kimber right away. Do not wait in hopes that it will smooth out. I have personally been told by Kimber "you should have called sooner"

Lots of people have Kimbers and love them. Just keep my advice in mind please.

and shoot the heck out of it!

I would buy that in a heart beat.

I only have 1 Kimber and need another.

If it was a weapon at a local dealer here in Texas, I would be camped out on their doorstep. Let us know how you like it...

Sounds like you're already sold on the Kimber, and why not? If you like the gun, feel that it will meet your needs, and can afford the price, then go for it.
Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.

It's obviously not broken in yet...$850-950 for a (like) new weapon is a fair price...I love my Kimbers.
For that price, I would expect it has the internal extractor, not an external extractor.

Without a seconds thought I'd go for it. I've actually been thinking about getting an aluminum frame Kimber or Wilson since I cancelled an order I had and bought another AR.

I don't know what other guns you own, but once I purchased my first 1911, I just kept buying them. I carry an SIS Pro all day, every day. Go for it!
