Semmerling
I was reading the Ruger LCP in 9mm Poll. I didn't want to hijack the thread, so I thought it would be better to start a new one. Some of the respondents made comments about the recoil and blast from a 9mm LCP size pistol. So. Here is a pistol I would like to shoot at least once, but it would probably hurt pulling the trigger. The gun is so small, that shooting it would be a memorable experience (IMO).
Does anyone remember this little beast or has anyone ever shot one ?

Type Compact pistol Place of origin United States Production history Manufacturer Semmerling Specifications Weight 560.4 g (19.77 oz) fully loaded Length 93.98 mm (3.7") Width less than 25.4 mm (1") (21.59 mm (0.85") with "thin kit"

I'd shoot it just to do it. Not a range gun for sure! Wonder how much one of those things cost?

I remember their ad in the Shotgun News many years ago, and their motto. " Semmerling for the man who believes his life is in danger".
Although they were expensive I was never impressed with a pistol who's action needed to be worked manualy.

I did get to handle an older one and I absolutely loved the quality of it.
It reeked of craftsmanship.
It was one of those guns that I would love to own if I ever won the lottery.

I seem to remember that a lot of them, were picked up by undercover police officers. Small; powerful; and very concealable. I would almost bet that if this pistol was found during a frisking, that the bad guys would not believe that this was a cop's gun.

It looks quit interesting to me, as others said looks high quality. I would buy it if I had the money to do so. Not only does it look cool to me it would be nice to have something tons of people don't have.

That would be a hand full. When I was in my teens I had the chance to shoot a 45 ACP derringer one of the members had. I remember watching him on the line shooting it and watching the fireball roll out the barrel. He handed it to me and I did manage one shot. Never had my hand sting so badly in my young life.
