I love all three versions of these guns so base your decision on which will have the best combination of reliability, finish retention, resale value, HD and Zombie horde readiness, accuracy and range enjoyment.

Im just torn between these guns. I love 9mm and .45cal and just cannot decide which I want more in a sig, I hear sig .45s are supposed to be just ever so slightly better than sig 9s, but I like 9mm ever so slightly better than .45s. You help is appreciated.

I would take 45 over 9mm in anything

i like the 220 elite dark from your list, but the 220 SAO version would be my personal favorite

    I love my Sig 220.

with that being said, I wouldnt consider myself at a disadvantage if I were using a 16 shot P226 in 9mm.

I love the looks of the Elite Stainless, and MUCH prefer .45 to 9mm. Capacity isn't enough of an advantage for me to choose the P226. Both however are exceptional weapons. I kind of tend to lean toward a "bigger hole is better" thinking, shot placement is important either way, but a bigger hole in a less lethal placement is better than a smaller hole. (By hole, I mean wound cavity).

My Sig P220 two tone, with the DA/SA trigger is my favorite of any gun I have ever shot. I do wish I could have found a complete stainless though, I haven't shot one, but I fondled one once and loved the weight of it.

I loved my P220, but really wish I could have shot it more often... with a P226-9mm I could have... but I do love my P226-40... you have a lot more options of caliber with the P226.

If you want an expensive Sig in those platforms, I would go for the gucci SAO P220 or the P226/X-5. They're supposed to be real tack drivers and will get you a lot of "oohs" and "aahs" at any range I can think of.

I am quite suprised that the P220 has a total lead over the P226. Im not suprised to see the elite stainless models on top though. they are so pretty.

If I had to get another sig, I would get the ALL stainless steel version... perhaps one with a cap clip like a 226 or 229... either way SIGs IMHO are the BEST especially because of the control lay out, laser accuracy and stone cold reliability.

I chose 220 Elite Platnium. If I'm gonna have bling I'm gonna sing.
