    xd40sc

I came across an xd40sc today. I thinking about picking it up tomorrow. It is a 2008 production model and in great condition.

Any comments on appropriate price and feedback on performance?

I currently have a xd40 service model and love the xd platform.

    thanks,

I have one and it's a very accurate and reliable shooter. The XD's are very nice. I don't CC it much because I have a Glock 23 (approx the same size gripwise) and I prefer the 13+1 ammo capacity.

You can by the XD .40 sc for around $450 new $550 with the factory night sights. Just keep that in mind if this is a used gun. But if it is in the right price range buy it you will not be sorry. I will take my XD's over anything else I own or have shot. With the exception of the Kimber Raptor II they are the most accurate out of the box guns I have ever used!

It's a good choice. The differant mags and the overall shootabilty of the gun make a fine firearm. My XD45 has been flawless through 1,000 rounds. The XD line are all good choices in my eyes.

I've got a 4" XD40 and would pick up a sc in a heartbeat even though I would like to get it in 9mm just because I like that and the 45 round better than a 40. Can't go wrong with the XD's man I love 'em.

I like mine. I think it's a nice little gun with a nice trigger and reset. I'd say get it and enjoy.

    Couldn't Do It

I went by to check on the xd40sc yesterday before leaving on vacation. I was looking to possibly trade in my xd40 service model. After thinking about it, I just couldn't do it. I have never gotten rid of a gun and just couldn't trade.

Besides my stubborn ways, they wanted almost $175 with my xd40 to make the deal. I figure I'll keep looking and try buying the sub-compact when I can.

    Thanks for all the input.

yup, keep checking the forums, gunbroker.com, and gunsamerica.com, they always have subbies...

good for you not giving in to the trade+cash, that's a bum deal.
