    My SIG Browning Carry Pistol

Bud asked me to post some photos of this pistol. I think that I already did a while back but, it was Sunny outside today so I popped a few pics in natural daylight.
One of my all time favorite carry handguns.
It features a Light Weight Alloy frame with some nearly indestructible factory finish on it.
I own two...They are "identical twins" but, this one is the nicer looking of the two. I carried the other one in much tougher conditions & terrain & it is the worse for the wear.
Both shoot equally as well & to the exact same point of impact.
This STILL locks up tight as when it was brand new & it is EXTREMELY accurate. I carry it with Speer God Dot which is great tack-driving carry ammo for SIG.
The Colt Combat Commander is the only pistol that I like more than this one.
This SIG (obviously) has the butt magazine release.
I am quite used to it & mag changes are decently quick with practice. This one sports a pair of nice, checkered KINGWOOD grips by Hogue.
You can use either the American SIG P220 mags in this pistol or the European ones.
The Euro style mags have no "magazine release slots" milled into the magazine body so...the Euro mags cannot be used in the American version.
Also obviously...no extended magazines can be used in the Euro SIG.
Sorry about the dust fuzzys in my pics but, I have hardly any free time today to create Gun Porn pics so just a few snapshots. Enjoy.

Great QK - I was also hoping to see this much talked about gun (guns) - it is a lovely piece and ya know - I too am not too phased by a heel release.

I have heel on R9, heel on Mak and also on CZ-52, not that the latter two are carry - but - it is not the problem some folks find it to be IMO.

Real nice pics and fuzzy quotiient is negligable Thanks for showing them.

great looking gun!! i really like the grips though they are a bit wider than the factory panels.

i owned several browning bda's in the mid 80's, but sold them. i do have a 220-1 left though. it's a real accurate gun and super reliable.

    Funny About The Hogue Grips

Hey...Thanks for the compliments on "My Baby" folks. She is blushing right now.

The SIG Factory grips feel PERFECT in my hand...I mean 100% perfect.

The Hogue Checkered Grips are beautious BUT, they are a tiny bit bulkier. About 1/8" which IS noticable.

They are super nice looking & the checkering is great.

If I had it to do all over again ~ I would stick with the factory plastic.

Hummm....I wonder if I can use a checkering riffler to point up the molded diamonds a bit on the original plastic grips?

    That would be ideal.
