Shopping for friend.
Price range is about $400 or less and he is only interested in 9mm. Here is what I came up with so far...
Steyr m9 $350 through cdnn
EAA copy of sig226 for about $350
S&W Sigma for about $350 +/-
Sig pro 2022 at around $470 (Obvious choice I would think but may be too pricey for him. Also I don't know much about Sigs).
I could use a little help please. He is not afraid of a good used pistol so if anyone knows of a good used handgun I'd like to hear about them as well.

I was just in my local shop checking them out yesterday. Nice but unless you got some inside info for me they're way too pricey for my friend. About $400 is his limit. I may be able to stretch him to $500 but that would be the absolute max.

Yeah, they are. Nothing beats a classic design and a quality build. The icing on the cake is not many people are shooting them.

You should be able to pick a new one up for under 5, probably around 450 or so. Dealer cost on a new 75 Omega is 399. If your shop is charging more than 5, its time to find a new shop.

Taurus 24/7 Pro. Should be able to get one for about 379. Go to Gun Genie and find what dealers in your area will sell them for.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Ruger P95 9mm msrp for around $400 used should easily be under $400 and left over can be used for ammo

Check out the Bersa 9mm subcompact. Nice 9mm in the price range and may find one at around $350. I'm looking for one myself.

He could get a Ruger SR9 for just over 400. The new CZ P-07 Duty will be out in a couple of weeks and that will be around the same price.

Out of the pistols the OP listed, that's an easy choice for me:
Steyr M9
There's another active thread on this forum about the Steyr; I gave my favorable opinion of the M-series there as well...
Tough to beat for $350... And it's -definitely- in a whole other league when compared to the S&W Sigma...
I also like the CZ, but that was not in the OP's list of choices...

If he could swing it, definately the SigPro. I wouldn't mess with the Sigma myself just from the complaints I have heard. Here's a link for some 9mm reviews if you haven't seen it.
