    Bedroom gun

Here's a photo of my newest bedroom gun, a Sig PRO 2022 with a Laser Max sight installed. I also put on the optional small grip offered by Sig. The gun normally comes with two grip panels (medium & large) but my short fingers just weren't comfortable with either. I read the gun originally offered three size grip panels and my local dealer located a "small" grip for $27. Not it fits like it was made for me and my wife feels comfortable with the gun as well. Another nice thing is the gun is compact enough to double as a CC pistol if I want to give my regular carry gun a break or feel the need for a few extra rounds.

Aside from being a well made gun (it is a SIG), I paid $498 for at at the local Academy. Imagine, a new SIG for less than $500! My only regret is that I got it last fall. If I had waited until January of this year, I would have received a $50 rebate from SIG. That would have covered the cost of an extra magazine and a box of ammo. Oh well...

Nice Sig, and it looks like you got a good deal on it to boot!

I like to have either a tactical light or a laser mounted on my bedroom pistol just in case I have to use it at night. My pistol also has night sights as well.
    God bless our troops!

Nice Sig...I would just keep a tactical light ready, but separate from my pistol...OMO

I was all set to buy one last fall when Sig told me, in a personal email, they were being discontinued. This made me stop and think. So now, five months later they are still listed on Sigs website and I am kicking myself for not jumping on a NIB 2022 with NS and 3 mags for $450.

Actually I do keep a separate light. It's hangs on a hook attached to the bed's headboard. It has a red as well as a 120 lumen white light for use if I need it during the night. The 2022 came with night sights which work VERY well. They make it easy to see the guns sights, but don't do anything for the target, hence the light and laser.

+1. I'm going for my 870 Riot which is readily available first. Much better weapon to greet an uninvited guest with.

While I see the benefits of a shotgun, in my current situation, this is my choice and its better for my specific circumstances:

that is a nice one but as yall can tell by my profile pic the tac light is necessary for any home defense cause you dont want to turn on a light in the house and tell the BG where you are

Thats is a nice HD gun...they are very underrated in my book as far as Sig goes.

I really like the Sigs and one is on my wish list for the near future. I prefer a handheld light which I have found handy in many non-emergency situations and i think are an essential item for the bedroom. We've had two major power failures due to ice and wind in the past year and having a good bedrrom flashlight is a must. I keep the light and my S&W 9mm M&P in the nightstand.

Nice pistol I perfer a revover as my bed gun but might switch to a Glock

my reasoning is that I want a simple manual of arms for me to use at 3:00am when I wake suddenly from a deep sleep
