I wouldn't buy a .38 , nor an airlight. I would go with the .357 and shoot .38's in it if that's what you wanted. The airlights definitely have more recoil when you shoot them.
Taurus revolvers do fine. Shoot good and quality on mine seems fine. I would agree that the internals are a bit better in the S&W.
