I'm looking at purchasing a .44 mag 4" Tracker for sometimes carry.
I'd like to hear the pros and cons of the Taurus Tracker version from those who have owned them, or currently own them before I make a decision.
Tell me all about them please.

NOBODY here has one of these?? I find that hard to believe.

That's a hard one to conceal but fine for open carry. It'll certainly "Make Your Day"![]()

The 4" Tracker -5 shot shouldn't be any harder to conceal than a 4" 5-shot .357. I was looking at one a couple months ago and believe it would be concealable. JMO
I believe the tracker series you get 7 shots with a 357 mag. That being said, both are going to be pretty big guns.
One thing to consider with a 44 mag. is overpenetration. Depending on the load your going to carry, it might not stop inside your intended target.
I looked at Taurus when I was looking for a 44 mag, but decided on a Ruger Redhawk with a 5.5 inch barrel. Of course this is for hunting and not concealed carry.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

I'm 5'9" 160lb wet. Anything I carry is open carry
I just want the BIG BANG! (Flash grenade style)
I've been looking at .44's as I have 2ea .357 magnums already and my daily carry is a G30.
I'm mostly concerned with durability of the Taurus as compared to the S&W. Anything I should be aware of??
