    New Ruger LCP

I went to my favorite gun shop to shoot a couple of days ago ,there was a guy doing the paperwork for a Ruger LCP, first one they've had in months...I missed it by 5 minutes. So ,this afternoon I was passing by and something told me to stop in and check to see if they had gotten another LCP in. Lo and behold ,they did ! It's in my pocket as we speak (or type).....WEE-HOOO !

    Good score PNUT!

    How's the ammo supply there?

    Congrats!

I love mine and the 1,500+ rounds I've fired through it. I can't help shooting it when I go to the range to shoot my other handguns.

My LCP has been 100% reliable and is with me 100% of the time... Even when I carry a larger weapon.

I bought an LCP the other day. Man, that's one tight trigger pull.

Finding some ammo and a Crimson Trace Laser is going to be a trick.

Finally got around to shooting it at the range yesterday. I had to use some remanufactured ammo that I bought at the range.

    It sucked.

I'm glad I only bought one box.

I also bought a LCP the other day. I went to the check out line with a Remington 1100. There must have been 200-300 guns stacked up behind the counter. I asked if all of them were waiting on background checks? The clerk stated that half “this side of the counter is going out, and this side just came in”.

I saw a stack of 3 LCPs on the “coming in” side, only 2 of them had “hold” tags on them. When I asked the clerk if the third was spoken for he said “No, do you want to see it”? “No, just add it to the form and put my name on it”.

I walked out with both a little while later.

I was amazed that they actually had some .380 rounds left on the shelf. It has been hard to find locally since this particular store bought and sold an entire PALLET of LCPs a few months ago. At 25 bucks a box, I feel I was gouged a little. But all in all, I was very happy with my trip to the gun store that day.

The ammo was almost as hard to find as the gun. I checked in four places before finding a box of reloads at the fifth. Bass Pro, Dicks Sporting Goods, and 2 Wally Worlds, Classic Arms in Germantown only had reloads. Hopefully I'll be able to score some good SD rounds at the Gun show this weekend.

I have owned two of them but with the ammo scare I ended up selling them and am in the process of purchasing a pm9 since I already reload 9mm. I have had thoughts of buying a 3rd one though.

Compared to a DAO J-frame snubbie, the LCP's trigger is like butter! Practice with it and you'll do OK.

I've had good results with the following range ammo:
    1. Winchester White Box FMJ
    2. Magtech FMJ
    3. American Eagle FMJ

Also, remember these little guns like to be lubed well; not just oil but grease. Militech-1 works great for mine.

    Good luck!

Sweet little gun.. Cabelas was running a sale this week around here, LCP, gun rug, extra mag, and Nemasis holster for $389. If i didn't already have one I would have been all over it, and they actually had some in stock and not sold out yet... maybe i could use 2.. :)

I bought one when it first came out, did have to send it in twice, once for a recall, and the other when the magazine started dropping out when I was shooting. But since then it does perform very well. I like it as a backup pistol, especially in the summer when its hot out and I'm dressed down to shorts and a t-shirt. A bit more kick in between my index finger and thumb then I had expected. I'd say so far here is my rating on it.
