i dont know if this is the correct section but oh well!! so i have been doing some laundry and i was moving it from the washer to the dryer. i took some clothes out of the dryer and put them on top when i did i heard a metal object hit the dryer!! i was like whats that?? i looked and it was a speed loader(fully loaded with Remington golden saber .357mag) i carry when i carry my wheel gun!!!!! i checked my pockets but not good enough i guess!!! so it ran through the washer and then an entire cycle in the dryier on high!!!! when i picked them up they were really hot!! i cant believe the heat didnt do anything!!!!! i guess im lucky ill be alot more careful next time!!! close one!!

What is the correct cycle to run on the dryer when drying cartridges, and do you need to use dryer sheets????

I've heard of money laundering, but have supplies gotten so tight we need to start ammo laundering? You're not going to trust the washed rounds for carry, right?

Just make those rounds your "Range Ammo".

    There, problem solved.

I did that a couple of times and was also in situations when my jungle fatigues were soaked for hours at a time. You'll find it won't bother them at all.

Can you imagine how you would have reacted to hearing BANG BANG while your dryer wass running? That would be a strange news story!

( They wouldn't fire from that amount of heat would they?)

Hence, you are assuming they might be defective...hence, I wouldn't use them at all.

Not likely. The OP should feel "lucky" that the rounds didnt dislodge from the speed loader and tumble in the dryer loose. Murphy could have struck a primer and ...

Most ammo is spec'ed to take higher temperatures than folks think, so unless you've modified your dryer, you shouldn't have anywhere near an ignition temperature.

Weird hit on a primer? That's a higher probability.

I don't think I want my defensive ammo to be light and fluffy...

And I know I don't want a dud stuck in my barrel. I would properly dispose of the clean and shiny rounds by NOT shooting them.
