    I agree. I just wrote S&W and asked them. We'll see if I get a reply back or not. That is deffinately a deciding factor in my book!

    My 642 barrel: Had to mess with the brightness/contrast for it to be visible, so that's why it looks so odd.

    Available in the buy/sell forum FYI!!

    Interesting, I never noticed that. I was under the understanding from the paperwork with my weapon that +P was a no-no.

    The older 642 no-dash guns are not +P rated. Mine is a 642-2. The dash 2 is +p rated and comes with the Hillary-hole lock. The dash 1 is also +p rated, but doesn't have the lock hole.
    PAExplorer, which dash # is the 462 in your picture?
