    Para Ordanance Warranty Dept???

I recently purchased a PDA LDA and shot it for the first time today...lets just say that it has some issues....mainly the brass flies back and hits me in the forehead 5 out of 6 shots, usually falling between my shooting glasses and my eyelid and it locks the slide back about 3 or 4 shots each mag. Has anybody had any dealings with Para?? Thanks Robbie

I have a 'customized' P16-40 that I use for IPSC shoots, I have never had a problem with the weapon. I have had magazine feed problems but a few of the guys at the Range fixed that for me

I don't believe I have ever heard of anyone with your "problem"

I wonder if you have a ejector claw problem? Have you called Para yet?

Mine does this sometimes as well. Ive been hit in the head a few times in the last year. Mabey once or twice in every 100 shots

Whats really fun is when chicks shoot it, the hot brass sometimes goes down their top :). (i'll let you use your imagination as to the rest).

Could be an extractor tuning issue perhaps ?, either way I like the Para its a good quality gun, definately worth keeping even if it does hit you in the head occasionally.

I have a PDA LDA that has never done this. There a good company so I'm sure you get some satisfaction.

I called them this morning and they were very professional. I sent it in and it cost me $62 to send it back...(had to send it Next Day air) If I knew it was going to cost me that much I would have traded it in on the Colt Nite Defender...this whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth... gonna be without my pistol for over a month...Robbie

    Exclamation From the website...

I own a P12-45...never a problem...but, it sounds like an extractor adjustment to me...

I know that they will fix it.... just kinda chaps me that I have to pony up $62 more bucks just to get a pistol to work the way it should...$62 would have bought some custom grips or a new holster....

If you got it from a local dealer it should be their responsibility to send the gun back to Para or service agent for repair.

Either way I would try and hit Para up for the postage, mabey get a couple of extra magazines out of them.

Problem there is Para comes with 3 mags anyway, more than enough.
