    My new twins...

I just picked up my new Steyr M9-A1's from my FFL. I bought two because the price was right and the feel of the Steyr is just about perfect in my hand. These are the best kept secret in handguns today.

Austrian made. The designer, Wilhelm Bubbits, worked for Glock and had ideas of his own he wanted to bring to fruition so he took his ideas to Steyr. It is truly a top notch pistol. Very well made and just a joy to shoot.

Steyr no longer markets handguns in the USA. They may return to the US market in the future but I'm not going to hold my breath. That's why I bought two. They should last my lifetime under normal use. One for fun and one will be a safe-queen.

Those guns have a very odd appearance...but so do the Glocks to most. I love my Glock. The Trapezoidal sights weird me out. But everybody on here or elsewhere I have talked to, seem to llove theirs. Congrats.

I like the looks of them but haven't found one locally to handle. I imagine spare mags are a bit pricey though. How's the leather availability, much market support for them?

I paid $359 from Centerfire Systems, Inc. - Your Home For Ammo, Firearms, Magazines, and Gun Accessories but I think they are sold out. I bought my NY compliant 10 round mags off Gunbroker for $20 each.

From what I understand CDNN is sold out of the .40 and the 9mm. The .357 Sig was sold out long ago.

Looks like the only place to find them will be on GunBroker.com Online Gun Auction for the time being.

They are still available in other parts of the world and sell for around $1000 USD each so this is a tremendous deal on a very fine handgun.

EDIT: Just called CDNN and confirmed that they are completely sold out of all Steyr handguns.
